COLLEGE STATION, Texas. – The Mercer men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Arturo Barrios Invitational at the Watts Cross Country Course in College Station on Friday morning to close out the regular season. The top finisher for both the men's and women's team posted personal bests with both teams finishing in 22nd place out of 32 (men) and 37 (women) teams.

Freshman Mary Grace Parker crossed the finish line first for the Bears for the third time this season with a time of 20:51.8, a personal-best for the Wilsonville, Ala. native. Following shortly behind was graduate student Chiara Belfico at the 21:40.0 mark and Kamryn Wingfield with a time of 22:39.7.

Senior Buck Ledford led the way for the men's team for the fourth time this season and a personal best with a time of 24:32.8. Jake Peters finished nearly 20 seconds later with a time of 24:53.6 followed by Yianni Pothoulakis at the 25:08.2 mark.

The Bears will compete at the Southern Conference Championship in Mill Spring, N.C. at the Tyron International Equestrian Center on Saturday, Nov. 14.
