CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Mercer volleyball team closed out its Tennessee road trip with a 3-1 loss to Chattanooga Wednesday night in Maclellan Gym.

Sophomore outside hitter Sophia Henry once again led the Mercer offense with a match-high 18 kills (.375) and following behind was freshman right side hitter Lara Matta who posted 10 kills on the night. Sophomore setter Sammi Bergjans recorded a match-high 25 assists with two service aces. On the defensive side, sophomore libero Aubri Martin tallied 18 digs, seven assists and two service aces while Joselynn Sanjurjo put up three blocks.

Mercer will travel to Charleston, S.C. to face The Citadel in a 6 p.m. match on Thursday, Oct. 30 in McAlister Field House. The match will be streamed on ESPN+.

MATCH REPLAY
SET 1 I 14-25	The Mocs took an early lead over the Bears and did not lose momentum throughout the remainder of the match. a five-point service run gave Chattanooga the ultimate advantage over Mercer in set one.
SET 2 I 25-17	Sophia Henry led the Bears to a set-two victory with a set-high five kills with help from Jessica Dunn's six-point service run and Avery Wilks' back-to-back kills.
SET 3 I 24-26	The Bears battled back from a 13-17 deficit to tie the set at the 23-23 mark after a kill from Sophia Henry. The Mocs took advantage of their opportunies to force a must-win fourth set for Mercer.
SET 4 \| 21-25	Both squads battled back and forth with 14 tie scores and seven lead changes in set four. The Mocs pulled away after the Bears tied the set 20-20 to secure their seventh win of conference play.
