
Chattanooga Too Much For Visiting Mercer

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Mercer volleyball team closed out its Tennessee road trip with a 3-1 loss to Chattanooga Wednesday night in Maclellan Gym.
Sophomore outside hitter Sophia Henry once again led the Mercer offense with a match-high 18 kills (.375) and following behind was freshman right side hitter Lara Matta who posted 10 kills on the night. Sophomore setter Sammi Bergjans recorded a match-high 25 assists with two service aces. On the defensive side, sophomore libero Aubri Martin tallied 18 digs, seven assists and two service aces while Joselynn Sanjurjo put up three blocks.
Mercer will travel to Charleston, S.C. to face The Citadel in a 6 p.m. match on Thursday, Oct. 30 in McAlister Field House. The match will be streamed on ESPN+.
