
Mercer And Wofford Finish In Scoreless Draw In Regular Season Finale

Bears will play ETSU in SoCon Tournament Quarterfinals on Halloween
MACON, Ga. – Mercer and Wofford played to a scoreless draw Sunday afternoon from Betts Stadium in the regular season finale for both teams.
Mercer finishes the regular season with an 8-6-3 overall record and 3-3-3 record in SoCon play. Mercer's 12 points in conference play puts the Bears in sixth place out of 10 teams in the final SoCon standings. The Bears will turn their focus to the SoCon Tournament where Mercer will play ETSU on Oct. 31 at 4 p.m. ET from Cullowhee, North Carolina.
Despite a scoreless game, the Bears had plenty of opportunities to find a goal in the game. Mercer led in shots, 28-9, including a resounding 17-4 shots on goal advantage. Lindsay Bell and Avery Parker each played one half in goal to earn the combined shutout.
Mercer's 17 shots on goal in the game were the most in a game this season for the Bears. Morganne Eikelbarner led Mercer with seven shots, including five on goal. Bell and Parker each made two saves in goal for the Bears.
