MACON – The Southern Conference named Tommy Redd and Manza Masamuna to its All-Tournament team Sunday evening.
Redd and Masamuna anchored the Bears' midfield throughout the entirety of the 2025 season, each starting 17 of Mercer's 18 matches and each logging over 1,350 minutes.
The Bears clinched a trip straight to the semifinals after finishing the regular season with a 3-1-1 conference record and snagged a second-place finish in the SoCon standings.
The pair of midfielders played all 90 minutes in Mercer's semifinal against the No. 3 seeded UNC Greensboro. After the Bears lost one of their centerbacks in the opening minutes due to injury, Redd slid back into Mercer's backline and played a key role in limiting the Spartans.
Redd departs from the Bears after four seasons in Macon. The Lilburn, Georgia, native saw plenty of action as both a defender and as a midfielder in the orange and black, appearing in 60 matches for the Bears. Redd scored two goals and notched five assists in his 3,442 minutes at Mercer.
Masamuna concludes his first season of collegiate soccer. A freshman from Lawrenceville, Georgia, Masamuna became a member of the All-SoCon Freshman team after his impressive year in Macon.
