
Bears Atop Leaderboard With Scheck And Kim Leading Field

Katie Scheck is in first place and Riley Kim is tied for second
FORSYTH, Ga.. – Katie Scheck and Riley Kim are in first and tied for second place respectively to help the Bears sit in first place as a team after the first 36 holes from the Mercer Invitational at River Forest Golf Club.
Scheck carded rounds of 70 (-1) and 72 (+1) to sit at even par, 142 after Sunday's two rounds. Kim carded rounds of 71 (E) and 73 (+2) and is at 2-over, 144 and tied for second place.
As a team, the Bears lead the field of eight teams at 18-over, 586. Mercer will take a 10-shot lead over West Georgia into Monday's final round as the Wolves are currently at 28-over, 596.
Scheck had just one bogey on each of her rounds today, playing good consistent golf to get herself atop the leaderboard heading into the final round on Monday. Her 32 pars are five more than the next closest golfer in the field of 45.
Kim had six birdies over her two rounds which was tied for the second most birdies in the field on the day. Mercer played well on the par 5's all day going even par on them which was the best score on the par 5's by far among the eight teams competing.
The final round will begin Monday morning at 9 a.m. ET with a silent shotgun start.
