This Week In Mercer Athletics (March 17-23)

MACON – Seven of Mercer's nine spring sports are set to compete this week, including the track & field squad which will lift the lid on its regular season schedule at a pair of road meets. The red-hot beach volleyball team will highlight a light week of on-campus action when it hosts the Bears Beach Bash on Friday and Saturday in Macon.

MONDAY (3/17)

Two teams will host action on Monday, including the men's tennis team which will close out its non-conference schedule against James Madison at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center at 2 p.m. Admission is free.

The men's golf team will play the second day of the Mercer-hosted Linger Longer Invitational at The Landing Course at Reynolds Lake Oconee.

TUESDAY (3/18)

The men's golf team will wrap up action at the MU-hosted Linger Longer Invitational in Lake Oconee, while two other Mercer teams are scheduled for road contests. The women's tennis team will make the short trip northwest to battle in-state rival Kennesaw State at 1 p.m., while the baseball team will pack up its show and head to Tallahassee, Fla., to battle nationally-ranked Florida State at 6 p.m.

WEDNESDAY (3/19)

One team is scheduled for competition on Hump Day as the softball team heads to Carrollton for a rematch with Peach State rival West Georgia at 5 p.m.

THURSDAY (3/20)

The women's tennis team will play its second match in three days when it makes its way to the Tarheel State to lock horns with Southern Conference rival UNC Greensboro at 2 p.m.

FRIDAY (3/21)

The track & field squad will lift the lid on its 2025 outdoor schedule when it divides the sloth and heads to a pair of road meets. MU's distance athletes will trek to Charlotte, N.C., to compete in the Charlotte 49er Classic, while the sprinters and jumpers will make the short drive to Atlanta for the Georgia Tech-hosted Yellow Jacket Invite. The baseball team is scheduled for road action as well as the Bears open up a 3-game Southern Conference series at The Citadel in Charleston, S.C. First pitch of Friday's series opener is scheduled for 6 p.m.

The red-hot Beach Bears will open up its two-day Bears Beach Bash with a trio of matchups. Mercer will take on Emmanuel at 10 a.m. to open their portion of round-robin tournament play, but will also play a 2 p.m. Sun Belt Conference contest against UNC Wilmington and a 6 p.m. tilt against Jacksonville. Admission to all three matches is free.

SATURDAY (3/22)

Three teams will be in action on Saturday as the track & field team wraps up competition at both the Charlotte 49er Classic and the Yellow Jacket Invite. The baseball team will continue its Southern Conference series at The Citadel with a 2 p.m. first pitch, while the softball team will open up a league series at Samford with a 2 p.m. ET doubleheader.

The Beach Bears will close out their Bears Beach Bash tournament with three more contests. Mercer will battle Sun Belt Conference foe UNC Wilmington at 8 a.m. before closing out play against Jacksonville at 2 p.m. and Emmanuel at 6 p.m. Admission to all three matchups is free.

SUNDAY (3/23)

Three teams are scheduled for road competition to wrap up the weekend. The men's tennis team will open up Southern Conference play against Chattanooga at noon, while the baseball team will play the series finale with The Citadel at 1 p.m. The softball team will also close out its Southern Conference series at Samford with a 1 p.m. matchup.
