Jones Finishes 16th In Steeplechase At Georgia Tech Invitational

ATLANTA – Junior Olivia Jones registered a time of 11:35.75 on the way to a 16^th-place finish in the 3000m Steeplechase, while freshman Paula Sandoval crossed in 37^th place in the 5000m Run to highlight her collegiate outdoor debut, to highlight action for the Mercer track & field team on Friday evening at the Georgia Tech Invitational.

Freshman Mackenzie Crowe opened the night for the Orange & Black with a personal-best mark of 5:02.80 in the 1500m Run. Fellow newcomer Abbie Kallbreier also registered a personal-best time (11:55.15) in the 3000m Steeplechase.

Mercer will be back in action again on Saturday when it continues competition at the Michael Johnson Invitational in Waco, Texas. Freshman Arielle Livingston will kick off Day 2 action for the Bears in the 100m Hurdles at 1:30 p.m. ET, while the 4x400m Relay team at 5:55 p.m. will cap MU's stay in east Texas.
