MACON – All 10 of Mercer's spring sports are set to compete this week, with six hosting events on or near campus. The busiest Saturday of the 2024-25 athletics season happens on Saturday with seven teams in action, oncluding three at home.

TUESDAY (4/8) |
The women's golf team will resume hosting duties of the Brickyard Collegiate at the Brickyard Golf Club in Macon. The 9-team tournament was put on hold on Monday due to heavy rains that moved through Middle Georgia. Two teams are scheduled for road competition. The men's tennis team will travel to Spartanburg, S.C., for a 3 p.m. contest with Southern Conference rival Wofford, while the baseball team heads back to Tallahassee, Fla., to battle Florida A&M. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. |
WEDNESDAY (4/9) |
Three teams are scheduled to compete on Wednesday, including both diamond sports. The softball team will lock horns with in-state rival Kennesaw State in a 6 p.m. contest at Sikes Field. Admission is free. The baseball team will tangle with in-state nemesis Georgia Southern in a 6 p.m. outing on Camo Night at OrthoGeorgia Park. The women's lacrosse team will continue Big South Conference play on the road when it treks to Clinton, S.C., to go head-to-head with Presbyterian in a 4 p.m. tilt. |
THURSDAY (4/10) |
The women's tennis team will close out its 2025 regular season campaign against Southern Conference rival Samford at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center. First serves are scheduled for 2 p.m. and admission is free. |
FRIDAY (4/11) |
Friday is the calm before the weekend storm, although four teams have events on the schedule. The baseball team is the lone squad of the four to be on campus as the Bears suit up to host a home-and-home series with Charleston Southern. Friday's series opener is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start at Ortho Georgia Park. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by visiting MercerBears.com/Tickets. Mercer's track & field team is scheduled to compete at both the South Florida Invitational in Tampa, Fla., as well as the Duke Invitational in Durham, N.C., while the men's golf team will begin play at the NC State-hosted Stitch Intercollegiate in Raleigh, N.C. The beach volleyball team is scheduled for 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. contests at the North Florida Invite in Jacksonville, Fla. |
SATURDAY (4/12) |
Saturday will be filled to the brink with Orange & Black with eight teams in action, including three home contests. The men's tennis team will get the day started with an 11 a.m. outing against Southern Conference nemesis Samford at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center, while the women's lacrosse team will go toe-to-toe with Big South Conference rival High Point in a noon tilt at Five Star Stadium. Admission to both facilities is free. The baseball team will close out the home schedule on Saturday at 2 p.m. when they resume their series against Charleston Southern at OrthoGeorgia Park. Start time is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by visiting MercerBears.com/Tickets. The road schedule is full for the Bears on Saturday as well. The track & field team will continue competition at the South Florida Invitational and the Duke Invitational, as will the men's golf team at the NC State-hosted Stitch Intercollegiate. The softball team will open up a big Southern Conference weekend series at East Tennessee State with a 1 p.m. twinbill, while the men's lacrosse team will take on Atlantic Sun Conference foe Bellarmine at noon. The beach volleyball team will close out its stay at the North Florida Invite with matches at 10 a.m. and noon. |
SUNDAY (4/13) |
Two teams will wrap up a busy week of competition, although campus will be quiet. The softball team will close out its weekend series at Tennessee State with a 1 p.m. contest in Johnson City, Tenn., while the baseball team will play its series finale with Charleston Southern at CSU Ballpark. First pitch is slated fror 3 p.m. |
