Women's Tennis Signs Valentine Talaki For 2025-26 Season

MACON, Ga. – Mercer women's tennis head coach Eric Hayes has announced the signing of Valentine Talaki.
Talaki, a native of Kara, Togo, joins the Bears after playing last season at Alabama A&M. Before joining Alabama A&M, Talaki played at Iowa Central Community College during the 2023-24 season where she was ranked No. 12 in singles and doubles in the 2023-24 NJCAAÂ ITAÂ women's tennis rankings. Talaki helped Iowa Central claim the 2024 HBCU National Championship.
Talaki has a UTR ranking of 8.20 and her highest ITF World Junior ranking was 577. This past season at Alabama A&M, Talaki earned Second Team All-Conference honors from singles position three.
Talaki played for Togo in the 2024 Billie Jean King Cup. She won a Flight 2 match against her opponent from Ethiopia.
