
Mixon, Trodd Named Academic All-District

MACON – Two Mercer men's golf student-athletes – Trey Mixon and Nathan Trodd – have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Men's At-Large team, the organization announced today. Academic All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.Â

A senior from Macon, Mixon earns Academic All-District laurels with a 3.73 cumulative GPA as a risk management and finance double major. A 2025 Mercer graduate, Mixon was a mainstay in the Mercer lineup this season, holding a 74.14 stroke average across 29 rounds. Mixon's top finish came at the Palmetto Intercollegiate, where he finished 13th out of 75. The senior also led the way for the Bears at the SoCon Championship, finishing in 17th at one-under.Â

Trodd, a junior from South Africa, is named Academic All-District with a 3.50 cumulative CPA as a management major. Trodd enjoyed a fine season in 2024-25, his first in Macon, posting a 72.97 stroke average over 29 rounds. Trodd recorded two top-five finishes, placing third at the Cullan Brown Collegiate and fifth at the Palmetto Intercollegiate. His low round for the year was a 65, which he carded in round two at the Palmetto Intercollegiate.Â
