Coach Mitchell Selected For 2025 TopConnect Basketball Symposium

TopConnect identifies top assistant coach and connects them with mid-major athletic directors for networking and leadership development
MACON, Ga. – Mercer men's basketball assistant coach Jonathan Mitchell has been selected to participate in the reputable 2025 TopConnect Basketball Symposium taking place at the Marriott Village in Orlando, Florida on Monday, June 9.
TopConnect, developed by ETSU Athletic Director Dr. Richard Sandler, identifies the top assistant basketball coaches in the country and connects them with mid-major Athletic Directors providing tremendous networking and leadership development opportunities for both parties.
Mitchell joined the Mercer staff prior to the 2024-25 season after spending one season as an assistant coach with NBA G League's Birmingham Squadron.Â
"I am excited to be selected for TopConnect - an opportunity to Connect, Prepare, and Lead," said Mitchell. "It's about building relationships, sharpening our craft, and stepping forward as transformational leaders in college basketball."
In its eighth year, TopConnect develops educational programming that allows these top assistant coaches to hear from a variety of successful leaders and speakers. The 2025 symposium is headlined by a panel of prominent and successful coaches and industry leaders.
