
Women's Tennis Adds Sofiya Tsitavets To 2025-26 Roster

MACON, Ga. - Mercer women's tennis head coach Eric Hayes has announced the signing of Sofiya Tsitavets for the 2025-26 season.
Tsitavets, a native of Minsk, Belarus, joins the Bears after playing her freshman season at Norfolk State. This past season, Tsitavets was named to the Norfolk State All-Academic Honor Roll and was named an All-MEAC Second Team selection.
She was a two-time MEAC Rookie of the Week along with being named the MEAC Player of the Week once. Tsitavets finished the year with an 11-9 singles record, going 9-5 at the No. 1 position. She was 14-6 in doubles matches, including a 6-2 record at the No. 1 slot. One of Tsitavets' notable wins on the season was a three set win over East Carolina's No. 1 singles player Ines Bachir.
