Mercer leads the all-time series 6-1-0. The two teams met last season in Macon where mercer won, 1-0, scoring the game-winning goal in the 81st minute.
LAST TIME OUT
Mercer last played a week ago at then, No. 22 Oklahoma State, falling 2-0 to the Cowgirls. Both of Oklahoma State's goals came off corner kicks in the final 10 minutes of the game. Lindsay Bell made six saves in goal for the Bears.
SCOUTING PRESBYTERIAN
Presbyterian enters Thursday's game with a 1-0-1 record. The Blue Hose opened their season with a scoreless tie against The Citadel. Presbyterian is coming off a 2-1 win on the road at South Carolina State last Sunday.
Presbyterian brought back three All-Conference players from last year's team that went 7-6-5 and 2-2-3 in the Big South and advanced to the Big South Tournament semifinals.
The Blue Hose returned most of their squad from a season ago as 22 players return altogether including eight starters. The combination of forward Sloan Spees, forward Lina Müller, midfielder Lindsey Malyszek, and forward/midfielder Isabel Lasota have combined for 82 total points in their college careers (32 goals, 18 assists). Spees leads that bunch with 14 goals and 31 points.
The expected starter in goal for the Blue Hose is freshman Febe Dombrecht who made 10 saves in Presbyterian's season opening draw against The Citadel.
