Beach Volleyball Announces Fourth Annual Golf Tournament

MACON - Mercer head coach Josh Marsh announced Friday that the beach volleyball program's fourth annual golf tournament will be held on October 5 at the Braelinn Golf Club in Peachtree City.

The Mercer Beach Bears event will kick off the 2026 season as they look to continue the growth of their program in the Sun Belt Conference. Any contribution, no matter the size, can go a long way to expand the program including helping with team expenses, travel, lodging, meals, facility maintenance, gear and equipment.
 
The Braelinn Golf Club is part of the Clubs of Peachtree City representing five local clubs in the Fayette and Coweta Counties and has numerous amenities to offer, including 135 holes of golf, private dining, tennis, pickle ball, swimming pools and a state-of-the-art Sports Club.
 
"We would appreciate any support you can give to help this young women's sports team become future champions," Marsh said.
 
There are a few ways to contribute. 
 
The first is by participating in the golf tournament. The event will feature a four-person scramble format and kicks off at 10 a.m. Check-in will begin at 8 a.m. with access to the driving range, putting greens, and dinner to follow at 3 p.m. The entry fee is $150 per person and includes one round of golf, cart fees, one meal, a gift of appreciation and an opportunity to win several prizes.

The second way to contribute is to sponsor the event.

There are five different levels of sponsorship. Hole Sponsor (Value of $250), Secondary Sponsor (Value of $1,000), Primary Sponsor (Value of $2,000), Premium Sponsor (Value of $5,000) and Elite Sponsor (Value of $10,000, along with the event being named for you.) At each level there are benefits to you or your company for contributing such as recognition at the player's meeting and in any post-event announcement.
