Wintry Weather Affects Women’s Basketball Schedule

MACON – The Mercer women's basketball team's regularly-scheduled Southern Conference contest at East Tennessee State on Sunday has been rescheduled due to travel concerns caused by wintry weather that continues to roll into the southeast.

The Bears (12-9, 2-4 SoCon) will now trek to Johnson City, Tenn., on February 10 to take on the Buccaneers (10-11, 3-3) in Brooks Gymnasium. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

A winter storm warning remains in effect for the state of Tennessee through Sunday at 1 a.m. Snow accumulation in the area is expected to be anywhere between three and nine inches.
