MACON – This past Tuesday, the Mercer Bears (21-4, 2-1 SoCon) kicked off a long road trip with a win over West Georgia and is set to continue their stretch away from home with a three-game series over No. 13 Oregon State (18-5).

Mercer and Oregon State have never met in the Bears' 155-year history.
The Bears improved to 21-4 with their first win over West Georgia in program history this past Tuesday. Three different players homered for Mercer en route to a 13-9 win over the Wolves.
Titan Kamaka leads the Bears offensively with a .488 batting average, 1.337 OPS, 13 doubles, a .587 on-base percentage and a .750 slugging percentage.
Garrett Lambert turned in the best outing of his career last Friday in Mercer's conference opener against The Citadel. Lambert hurled six no-hit and scoreless innings amidst an 11-0 win over the Bulldogs.
Miguel Hugas is tied for the most wins in the country with a perfect 6-0 record. Hugas bolsters a 3.67 ERA across 34.1 innings and six starts.

Oregon State heads into the weekend series ranked in every major poll. Baseball America lists the Beavers as the No. 13 team in the country while the USA Today Coaches' Poll ranks them at No. 14. D1Baseball has Oregon State listed as the No. 16 team in the nation.
Dax Whitney, the projected No. 1 pick in the 2027 MLB Draft, leads the country with 65 strikeouts, a 16.88 K/9 and is second in the nation in strike percentage. Whitney has a 1.04 ERA across 34.2 innings of work and opposing hitters hit at a .161 clip against him.
Bryce Hubbard leads the Beavers' offensive charge with a .338 batting average, 1.051 OPS, five home runs, 40 total bases, a .436 on-base percentage and a .615 slugging percentage.
The Beavers head into the upcoming three-game series on a four-game winning streak with a weekend sweep over UC Irvine and a dominant midweek win over USC. Oregon State plated 31 runs while only allowing 13 over that stretch.
