Zaire Williams scored a game high 23 points and the Mercer men's basketball team earned a wire-to-wire 82-76 win over ETSU on Senior Day Saturday evening inside Hawkins Arena.
With the win the Bears concluded the regular season with a 19-12 overall record and 11-7 conference record. The Bears went 14-1 at home, their best record at home since the 2013-14 season when the Bears went 17-1 at home.
SERIES HISTORY
Saturday's game will be the 35th all-time meeting between Mercer and Western Carolina. Western Carolina leads the all-time series 18-16. The two teams split their regular season meetings this year with each team winning on its home court.

Western Carolina enters the SoCon Tournament as the hottest team in the league, having won six straight games entering the tournament.

Cord Stansberry leads the Catamounts in scoring at 14.1 points per game. Marcus Kell (13.4 ppg) and Julien Soumaoro (12.2 ppg) are the other Catamount players averaging double figures in scoring.
Western Carolina has played well offensively during its 6-game win streak as the Catamounts are averaging 84.0 points per game during that stretch.
