MACON, Ga. - The Mercer women's lacrosse team prepares to host the Winthrop Eagles from Five Star Stadium on Saturday afternoon. First draw is set for 2 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY
Saturday will be the 10th all-time meeting between Mercer and Winthrop. Mercer leads the all-time series, 6-3. The Bears won last year's game in Rock Hill, South Carolina 15-14.
LAST TIME OUT
Sofia D'Angelo had a game high five points to help lead the Mercer women's lacrosse team to a 13-6 win over Furman Wednesday night from Paladin Stadium in Greenville, South Carolina.
Mercer took a season high 53 shots in the game with 26 of them on goal. Furman had just 19 shots with 11 on goal. Mercer gave up the first two goals of the game, but responded by scoring the next seven goals in the first half to take a 7-2 lead into halftime in which the Bears would never relinquish.
SCOUTING WINTHROP
Winthrop enters Friday's game with a 6-7 overall record and 1-4 record in Big South play. The Eagles are coming off a 13-12 overtime loss at home to Wofford on Wednesday.
Winthrop is 2-2 on the road this season. Winthrop's lone conference win was against Radford.
In conference games, Winthrop ranks fifth in the Big South in goals per game at 10.4 per game. Defensively, Winthrop ranks fifth in the Big South in scoring defense at 12.4 goals allowed per game. In Big South games, the Eagles are averaging 10.4 caused turnovers per game and winning an average of 11.8 draw controls per game which both rank sixth in the Big South.
Senior attacker Tori Ionatti leads the Eagles in points (44) and goals (35). She ranks in the top five in the Big South in both points and goals. In all, the Eagles have six players with 10 or more goals on the season.
Junior goalie Mikaylah Lindsay has started 12 of the 13 games in goal. She owns a .460 save percentage and has a 11.5 goals against average.
