Bears Make Short Trip To Atlanta For GSU Diggin' Duals

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer beach volleyball team will make the short trip to Atlanta to compete in the 2026 GSU Diggin's Duals hosted by Georgia State at the Georgia State Beach Volleyball Complex on Friday and Saturday.

The Bears (4-16) are scheduled for four games across the two-day event. Mercer will open its stay in Atlanta on Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. when it battles with South Florida (15-5), and will close out opening-day action at 1 p.m. against UAB (16-9).

Saturday's schedule has the Orange & Black battling North Alabama (13-9) at 12:30 p.m., as well as a 5 p.m. tilt with host Georgia State (12-12).

Mercer hosted the Sun Belt Mid-Year Weekend on March 27-28 at Bear Beach in Macon. The Bears were bested by Coastal Carolina, Southern Miss, UNC Wilmington and College of Charleston throughout the weekend. Duos of Cyleigh Sayler and Finley Kenney and Hollis Engel and Maddie Lee picked up big wins for the Bears.

Following their time in Atlanta, the Beach Bears will travel to Birmingham, Ala. to take part in the UAB Blazer Beach Bash at the UAB Beach Volleyball Courts.
