Bori Named SoCon Offensive Player Of The Week

MACON, Ga. - Mercer senior midfielder Olivia Bori was named the Southern Conference women's soccer Offensive Player of the Week, respectively, for the second week of the season from Aug. 18-24.Â
In two games last week against Maine and South Carolina State, Bori had three goals and one assist. On Aug. 20 at Maine, Bori logged the team's lone goal in a 3-1 setback in Orono. Three days later, the native of Jacksonville, Florida, tallied five points in the Bears' 8-0 home-opening victory over South Carolina State. The senior scored goals in the 57th and 61st minutes, while picking up an assist on a one of Zibby Michaelson's three goals on the day in the 48th minute. Bori currently leads the Southern Conference in goals (4) and points (9).
Bori joins Payton Nutzman as the first two winners this season of the SoCon Offensive Player of the Week.
Bori and the Bears host Georgia Southern on Thursday and Georgia on Sunday.
