Men’s Golf Announces 2026-27 Schedule

MACON - Head coach Jason Payne announced the schedule for the 2026-27 season on Monday afternoon. The Mercer men's golf team will compete in nine events throughout the regular season before the Southern Conference Championship at Pawleys Plantation Golf and Country Club in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, this upcoming April.
2026 Fall Schedule
The Bears' fall slate consists of four events. Mercer begins the season with the Golfweek Fall Intercollegiate, a three-day tournament held September 6-8 at the True Blue Golf Club in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. The Bears travel to Destin, Florida, the following week for the Sandestin Collegiate Classic hosted by Texas State on September 14-16 at the Raven Golf Club. After a week off, Mercer drives to Columbia, South Carolina, for the second annual Bryan Bros Collegiate hosted by South Carolina at Solina Golf Club on September 28-29. The Bears round out their fall season with the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate hosted by conference foe ETSU from October 19-21.
2027 Spring Schedule
The spring window consists of five events, including the 21st annual Linger Longer Invitational, which the Bears co-host with Kennesaw State at Reynolds Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Georgia, from March 19-21. Mercer opens the spring with the Wexford Intercollegiate on February 15-16. A few weeks later, the Bears travel to Aiken, South Carolina, for the Palmetto Intercollegiate on March 8-9. From March 29-31, Mercer competes in the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge at the True Blue Golf Club in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. The Bears end their regular season with the historic Robert Kepler Intercollegiate hosted by Ohio State at the university's Scarlet Course on April 9-10.
The SoCon conference championship tournament is scheduled for April 26-28 at the Pawleys Plantation Golf and Country Club in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Mercer finished third as a team in last year's championship tournament, the best team finish for the Bears at the event since joining the SoCon in 2014.
