Atlantic Sun Conference All-Academic Team member ... Had a PR time at the Georgia State Invitational, completing the 5K course in a time of 26:32.35 ... Also ran a 26:36.1 (73rd of 104) at the Mercer RunFit Invitational as the Bears took home the team championship for their own event.
High School
Graduate of Bleckley County (2009) … Joins the Bears’ team from the excellent distance program at BCHS where she ran for Shelley Cranford (a very successful distance runner in his own right), who has not only built the Bleckley team into a Middle-Georgia powerhouse, but also happens to be Caley’s uncle … Entered Mercer with top times of 12:45 for the 3K, 22:30 5K and 54:00 for the 10K races … Team was a four-time regional champion and placed fourth in state her freshman season (2006) ... Also ran track at BCHS ... Team took regionals her sophomore through senior years and was the AA state champion her freshman season, as well ... Was also a member of the cheerleading squads for football and basketball ... Was awarded a Presidential Academic Scholarship from Mercer.
