Dr. Shelley Callender

- Team Physician (Sports Medicine)
Dr. Shelley Street Callender is the team’s sports medicine physician. She joined the School of Medicine in 2013 as the Division Chief for Sports Medicine. She is also an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
ÂDr. Callender specializes in the comprehensive evaluation of non-surgical sports-related injuries and conditions for the athletes. She earned her medical degree from Syracuse Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York, and completed her Internal Medicine and Pediatric residencies at Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. She completed her fellowship in Sports Medicine at Henry Ford Health Systems in Detroit, Michigan.
