
Men's Soccer Hosts Wofford in Mid-Week Matchup

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's soccer team will host Wofford on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. for a mid-week matchup of the top two teams in the Southern Conference.
The Bears are currently atop the SoCon standings with an overall record of 9-5 and a 5-1 mark in league play. Mercer's only conference loss came to Wofford in a 2-1 decision on Oct. 15 in Spartanburg, S.C. Wofford is No. 2 in the league with an 8-4-1 record on the season and has gone 4-1-1 in SoCon play.

SCOUTING WOFFORD
Matthew Aurednik is leading Wofford with 10 goals and 20 points this season, while Nestor Jaramillo is second on the team with seven goals and five assists for 19 points.
Garrett Closs has made 42 saves and allowed 18 goals to notch a .700 save percentage and a 1.45 goals-against average. Closs has also recorded three shutouts.
As a team, the Terriers have outscored opponents, 33-19, and outshot them, 245-151, this season. Wofford also ranks first in the SoCon in several categories, including total points (96), total goals (33), total assists (30) and scoring offense (2.54).
MERCER NOTES
The Bears are led by Will Bagrou's 14 points off five goals and four assists. Carson Brooks, Jourdan Gooden and Max Poore are tied for second on the team with three goals each, while Jordan Duru and Chandler Klemm have each scored twice.
Between the pipes, Greg Ranjitsingh has made 63 saves and allowed just 14 goals en route to a .818 save percentage and a 0.97 GAA. Ranjitsingh is ranked No. 1 in the SoCon in save percentage and No. 2 in GAA. He is also ranked second in the league and No. 14 in the nation in total saves.
Mercer is ranked second in the conference in multiple categories, including total points (68), total goals (23), total assists (22), scoring offense (1.64), points per game (4.86) and assists per game (1.57). The Bears have outscored opponents, 23-14, and outshot them, 199-181, this season.
