
Bears Ink Five Spring Signings

MACON – The Mercer men's soccer program announced the addition of five players to the program this afternoon. The additions include three transfers and two incoming freshmen.
Jorge Sandoval
Gainesville, Ga. | University of North Georgia | Forward/Midfielder
Sandoval, a 5-foot-7 forward/attacking midfielder, finished last season as one of the best players in the Peach Belt Conference. Sandoval received United Soccer Coaches All-Region First Team honors and was a key factor in UNG's 10-5-5 record. The Gainesville, Georgia, native led the Nighthawks in scoring with eight goals and assists (24 total points).

AJ Pama
Woodstock, Ga. | Georgia Southern | Defender
A seasoned veteran, Pama transfers to Mercer after three seasons with Georgia Southern where he logged 2,686 minutes across 49 appearances with 25 starts under his belt. Standing at 6-foot-1 and 195 pounds, Pama brings a physical presence to the Bears' backline that saw five seniors graduate this past season.
Across his three seasons in Statesboro, Pama contributed to 16 clean sheets with seven of those coming in the 2025 season where the Eagles finished 13-4-1 (6-3-0 SBC) As a freshman, Pama snagged his first career assist (and point) against No. 1 Marshall in 2023. Pama's second career assist came in a dominant 5-0 win over Coastal Carolina in 2024.
Pama, an Atlanta United Academy alum, also reunites with Coach Davey.
Coach Davey on Pama – "I got to work with AJ previously, and I know he is someone who will bring a great deal of quality and leadership to our program. He's a physically imposing defender, a great communicator and will demand 100% out of those around him day in and day out. We're delighted to add AJ to the program."
Joseph Ogwang
Lira, Uganda | Oregon State | Defender
A former West Coast Conference All-Freshman selection, Ogwang transfers from Oregon State in search of a larger role at Mercer. Ogwang appeared in nine matches across his two years in Corvallis, logging 527 minutes and six starts. As a freshman, Ogwang contributed to three clean sheets, playing for all 90 minutes in each. His first career assist (and point) came in his 16-minute shift against Santa Clara this past season.

Mackane Parkman
Cumming, Ga. | South Forsyth HS | NASA Top Hats ECNL | Defender
Parkman, a 6-foot-2 defender, will join the squad in the fall after graduating from South Forsyth High School where he has seen success. The Cumming, Georgia, native finished as an honorable mention for All-County and All-Region honors after posting four goals and 11 assists amidst South Forysth's 13-5 season.
Parkman also plays for the NASA Top Hats in the ECNL 08 circuit under head coach Todd Gispert. Last season, Parkman started for a backline that conceded the least amount of goals across the entire league while winning the U17 Southeastern Conference Championship and securing a berth to the national playoffs.

His mentality and approach to being a student-athlete reaches the standard we set at Mercer, and we are excited to see where his talent and approach takes him."
Wilson Maselle
Marietta, Ga. | Walton HS | Lanier Soccer Association | Midfielder
Maselle, a 6-foot-4 midfielder, comes to Mercer after playing for the Lanier Soccer Association where he recorded five goal contributions in 10 matches last season.
Coach Davey on Maselle - "Wilson is a player that has huge upside. His physicality, mobility and height suit the college game. He's a player that likes to get on the ball and carry it into attacking areas causing opposition to react. We're excited to welcome Wilson to Mercer."
