
Men's Soccer Faces Furman on Tuesday

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's soccer team will face Furman on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. in the Bears' final road game of the regular season.

SCOUTING FURMAN
Furman enters the match with an 8-4-3 record on the season and a 4-3-1 mark in Southern Conference play. Mercer won the last meeting, 3-0, on Oct. 11 in Macon.
The Paladins are led by Lewis Hawke's 14 points off six goals and two assists, while Bobby Edet is second on the team with 10 points off five goals. Edet is second in the SoCon for game-winning goals with three.
In goal, Sven Lissek has made 42 saves and allowed 10 goals for a .808 save percentage and a 0.68 goals-against average. Lissek is first in the SoCon in GAA and second in save percentage. He is also ranked No. 17 nationally in GAA.
MERCER NOTES
The Bears are currently atop the SoCon standings with an 11-5 overall record and have gone 7-1 in league action.
Mercer is led by Will Bagrou's 25 points off 10 goals and five assists. Bagrou leads the SoCon and is ranked nationally in four categories – No. 6 in total points, No. 8 in total goals, No. 12 in points per game (1.56) and No. 13 in game-winning goals (4).
Jordan Duru is second on the team with nine points off three goals and three assists, while Max Poore has scored eight points off three goals and two assists. Carson Brooks and Jourdan Gooden have each notched three goals and an assist for seven points on the season.
Between the pipes, Greg Ranjitsingh has made 70 saves and allowed 16 goals for a .814 save percentage and a 0.97 GAA. Ranjitsingh leads the league in save percentage and shutouts (8), while ranking second in GAA and third in saves per game (4.38).
