
Men's Soccer Returns Home to Host UNCG

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's soccer team returns to Bear Field for the first time since August to host UNCG on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m.

SCOUTING UNCG
UNCG comes to Macon with a 1-7-2 record, including a 1-0-1 mark in Southern Conference play. Last week, UNCG tied Furman, 0-0, and defeated Wofford, 2-1.
This marks the fourth meeting between the Bears and the Spartans, with the latter holding a 3-0 advantage in the series. The teams have not faced each other since the 2004 season.
Dustin Gamradt and Tommi Gardarsson lead the Spartans with two goals each. Additionally, Austin Miller, Moises Gonzalez and Christopher Reingen have all found the back of the net once this season.
Davis Griffin and William Pyle have split time in goal. Griffin has made 21 saves while giving up nine goals en route to a .700 save percentage and a 1.41 goals-against average. Pyle has recorded 27 saves, allowed five goals and tallied a .844 save percentage and a 1.15 GAA.
MERCER NOTES
The Bears have kicked off their inaugural SoCon season with a 2-0 record, defeating VMI and ETSU on the road. Mercer also has an overall record of 6-4.
Will Bagrou and Jourdan Gooden lead the way with three goals each, while Jordan Duru, Chandler Klemm and Max Poore have all scored twice.
Between the pipes, Greg Ranjitsingh has made 38 saves and allowed just nine goals, while notching a .809 save percentage and 0.88 GAA. Ranjitsingh is ranked first in the SoCon in total saves, while coming in second in GAA and save percentage. He also ranks third in saves per game (3.8).
