
Bagrou, Ranjitsingh Named to NSCAA All-Region Teams

MACON, Ga. – Will Bagrou and Greg Ranjitsingh were named to the NSCAA All-Region Second and Third Teams, respectively, for the South region, as announced by the organization on Wednesday.
Bagrou and Ranjitsingh helped to lead Mercer to a 14-7 record, a Southern Conference regular season championship and a SoCon Tournament runner-up finish. The Bears set a program record with 14 wins in a single season, while earning the first SoCon championship in Mercer history.
Bagrou was named the SoCon Freshman of the Year, while Ranjitsingh was the SoCon Goalkeeper of the Year. Both were named to the SoCon All-Conference First Team and the All-Tournament Team.
Bagrou finished the season with 29 points off 12 goals and five assists. The freshman led the SoCon in total goals and total points, and finished the season ranked No. 9 and No. 11 nationally. Bagrou also tallied five game-winning goals, leading the conference and ranking 12th in the country. The Dacula, Ga., native also finished in the top-20 nationally in goals per game (0.57) and points per game (1.38). Bagrou earned two spots in Mercer's single-season record books in 2014, ranking sixth in goals and eighth in points.
Ranjitsingh anchored a Mercer defense that recorded 10 shutouts on the season. The senior from Pickering, Ontario, led the SoCon in total saves (106) and save percentage (.841), while finishing the season No. 3 and No. 9 nationally. Ranjitsingh also ranks 20th in the country in saves per game (5.05) and was second in the conference in goals-against average (.926). He finished his career as the Mercer record holder in career goals-against average (1.14) and shutouts (27), while ranking third in saves (363).
Bagrou and Ranjitsingh are two of seven SoCon players to be named to the NSCAA South All-Region teams, while Bagrou is one of just two freshmen to be honored.
