Mercer Falls at Stetson, 5-2

DELAND, Fla. – The Mercer men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision at Stetson on Friday afternoon at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.
For the first time in six matches, Mercer lost the doubles point despite an 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles by senior Joao Pagan and sophomore Anderson Scarpa.
Things wouldn't get much better for the Bears in singles play, as Stetson secured wins at No. 3, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 singles to win the match.
Sophomores Oliver Snaider and Arnav Mohanty won their matches at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively, to give Mercer its two points in the match.
Mercer continues Atlantic Sun Conference play in the Sunshine State when it takes on Florida Gulf Coast next time out on March 29.
