
Men's Tennis Falls to Furman, 4-3

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Mercer men's tennis team was edged by Furman, 4-3, on Friday afternoon at the Mickel Tennis Center.
Mercer moved to 7-10 on the season and 1-1 in Southern Conference play, while Furman moved to 3-13 overall and 1-0 in league action.
The Paladins took a 2-0 lead after winning the doubles point and a 6-2, 6-2 decision at the number four spot. Oliver Snaider and Arnav Mohanty won back-to-back to tie the score at 2-2, before Furman picked up two more singles points to seal the win. Arsav Mohanty closed out the match with a win at the number six spot after forcing a third set, 6-7 (6-8), 6-3, 6-4.
Next up, the Bears will face No. 60 Alabama on Sunday, march 22 at 6 p.m.
