Former Bear Andersson Signs With New York Cosmos

MACON, Ga. – Former Mercer men's soccer player, Carl-Oscar Andersson has been signed by the New York Cosmos, as announced by the organization on April 29.

Andersson played for Mercer from 2011-2012, scoring four goals and tallying 11 assists in his two seasons as a Bear. The midfielder was named the Mercer Offensive MVP and Co-Newcomer of the Year after the 2011 season. He was also was named to the Atlantic Sun All-Conference second team in 2012.

After Mercer, Andersson spent a year playing for the Swedish club Falkenbergs FF, where he made 25 appearances and scored three goals.
