Mercer Faces The Citadel In Regular Season Finale

MACON, Ga. – Mercer is on the road for the last game of the regular season and will take on The Citadel on Sunday afternoon in Charleston, South Carolina.

Logan Culver scored the golden goal in Mercer's overtime battle with UNCG last week. Culver fired off a shot into the back of the net in the 94th minute to end the match and give the Bears a win.
SERIES HISTORY
Mercer owns a 2-0 record in the series with The Citadel as the two teams have only met since Mercer joined the SoCon in 2014.
SCOUTING THE CITADEL
Samara Nche leads the Bulldogs with four goals and nine points, followed by a trio of players with two goals, an assist and five points each. Sam Waarum has notched a team-leading two assists for The Citadel.
Logan Leask has spent a majority of time in goal for the Bulldogs, making 83 saves and allowing 22 goals. Leask has tallied a .790 save percentage and a 1.62 goals-against average this season.
As a team, The Citadel has been outscored 27-12 by its opponents this year. In conference play, the Bulldogs have netted just three goals and their lone win was a 1-0 match against Wofford.
MERCER NOTES
Maddie Clark continues to lead the Bears with 12 goals and 25 points this season. The redshirt senior has scored in four consecutive matches, including the game-winning goal in three of those contests. Clark is third in the league in both total goals and total points.
Logan Culver is second on the team with four goals and eight points, while Abbey Reddig and Valeria Bermeo have each netted a pair of goals this season. Caroline Smith has tallied a team-leading three assists, while Emma Chandlee, Haley McDuffee and Jamilah Tejan have all added a pair of assists.
Cristina Mursuli has spent nearly 1300 minutes in goal this season for the Bears. She has made 58 saves and allowed 20 goals for a .744 save percentage and 1.40 GAA. The senior netminder has also tallied the complete game shutouts in conference play.
In the last five matches, Mercer has scored all of its goals after halftime and the Bears have outscored opponents 11-0 in the second half or overtime periods in those matches.
