Mercer Looks to Rebound Against UNCG in Tuesday Night Tilt

MACON, Ga. – Mercer will put a 3-1 home record on the line Tuesday evening as the Bears men's soccer program hosts UNCG at 7 p.m. at Bear Field. The first 100 fans at the field will receive a free Mercer Soccer scarf.
The Bears look to gain three points after falling at ETSU on Saturday, a team ranked No. 31 nationally and the top Southern Conference school in the latest RPI rankings. After splitting last week's matches, Mercer rose 12 spots to No. 59 in the RPI.

UNCG is coming off a 1-0 double overtime win over No. 25 Furman.
UNCG is led by Damieon Thomas whose 15 points this year ranks 25th in the nation and atop the Southern Conference. Thomas also leads the leaguye in goals per game (0.60), points per game (1.50), shorts per game (2.90), shots on goal per game (1.70) and total goals (6). Goalkeeper Logan Rhode leads the SoCon and is 32nd nationally with a goals against average of .710.

UNCG leads the all-time series over Mercer, 5-3. The Bears have dropped the last two meetings after winning three in a row in the series, including a 1-0 double overtime decision in the 2014 Southern Conference Tournament.
