Bears Wrap Up Weekend At Wofford

MACON, Ga. – After picking up a win at Furman on Friday, the Mercer women's soccer team will look for another victory as it wraps up the weekend at Wofford on Sunday at 2 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Maddie Clark led Mercer to a 1-0 win over Furman on Friday night after scoring in the 77^th minute. Emma Chandlee served the ball off a free kick from the corner and Clark headed the ball straight into the net, notching the only score of the match.

SERIES HISTORY
Mercer holds a 3-1 record over Wofford in the series, including a pair of wins since joining the Southern Conference. The Bears notched a 2-1 win over the Terriers last season and a 2-0 win in 2014.

SCOUTING WOFFORD
The Terriers are currently sitting in last place in the SoCon with an 0-4-1 record in league action. Wofford has netted just one goal in conference play thus far.

Kate Beuerlein is leading the Terriers with three goals and six points this season. Hannah Washko has tallied two goals and added an assist to rank second on the team with five points. Four additional Terriers have also scored a goal each this season.

Mayson Liner has spent a majority of time in goal for Wofford, making 44 saves and allowing 19 goals for a .698 save percentage and a 1.90 goals-against average.

As a team, Wofford has scored nine goals and allowed 36 from its opponents. The Terriers are also averaging 10.5 shots per game, while their opponents are taking 13.1 shots per game.

MERCER NOTES
Maddie Clark leads Mercer with eight goals and 17 points this season. The redshirt senior has notched three game-winning goals this year, moving her into sole possession of the No. 3 ranking on Mercer's career game-winning goals leaderboard. Logan Culver is second for the Bears with three goals and six points.

Caroline Smith has tallied a team-leading three assists, while Emma Chandlee and Jamilah Tejan are second for the Bears with two assists apiece.

Cristina Mursuli has spent a majority of time in goal, making 50 saves and allowing 19 goals for a .725 save percentage and a 1.77 GAA. On Friday, Mursuli logged her first complete-game shutout of the season after making four saves against Furman.
