Mercer Wraps Up Non-Conference Play at Presbyterian Wednesday

MACON, Ga. – Mercer's men's soccer team will step away from the friendly confines of Bear Field for the first time in two weeks Wednesday when the Bears will play at Presbyterian in the final non-conference match of the season.
Mercer (5-2) is coming off a 2-1 loss to Georgia Southern that snapped a three-match winning streak but could extend its four-match winning streak in the series against the Blue Hose (1-6).

SERIES HISTORY
Mercer leads the all-time series against Presbyterian, 4-1, and has won the last four meetings against the Blue Hose, including every meeting that has occurred in the 21st century. Presbyterian's only win over Mercer came back in 1983, a 4-0 decision. Since then the Bears have outscored PC 9-1 with wins in 2007, 2012, 2013 and 2015.
NOTABLES
Presbyterian enters Wednesday's match 1-6 but all but six of their seven matches this year have been decided by just a single goal. PC has taken two other SoCon teams to double overtime this season with a 3-2 (2OT) loss to Wofford on Aug. 26 and a 1-0 (2OT) loss at Furman on Sept. 7. Credit workhorse goalkeeper Conner Behrend and Christian Evans who have combined to make 41 saves already this season, a mark that ranks ninth in the nation.
