Mercer Returns Home To Host Troy

MACON, Ga. – After four consecutive road games, Mercer is back in Macon as the women's soccer team hosts Troy on Friday at 7 p.m. at Bear Field.

SCOUTING TROY
Troy is close to wrapping up its non-conference schedule and has amassed a 4-3 record against teams not in the Sun Belt Conference. The Trojans have dropped their last two matches, a 2-1 loss at UT Martin and a 1-0 defeat at Ole Miss.

Brooke McKee has scored a team-leading three goals and added an assist to notch a team-high seven points thus far. McKee ranks third in the Sun Belt in total goals and total points, while tying for first in the league with two game-winning goals.

Three of Troy's four wins have been shutouts, as the Trojans' opponents have scored just .86 goals per game this season. Mikki Lewis has spent a majority of time in goal for Troy, recording 22 saves and five goals-allowed in nearly 500 minutes played. Lewis has tallied a .815 save percentage and a .909 goals-against average, both of which rank her sixth in the Sun Belt.

Maddie Clark leads Mercer with four goals and nine points, ranking the redshirt senior first in the Southern Conference in total goals and total points, while putting her at 37th nationally in total goals and 57th nationally in total points. Freshman Emma Tokuyama has netted three goals, ranking her third in league in total goals.

Sophomore Caroline Smith has dished out a team-leading three assists, putting her second in the SoCon and 33rd nationally in total assists. Freshman Logan Culver and senior Abbey Reddig have each notched a pair of goals for the Bears this season, tying for third on the team with four points each.

As a team, Mercer's 13 goals this season ranks first in the SoCon and 31st nationally, while the Bears' 35 points also tops the league and ranks 42nd in the country.

Senior Cristina Mursuli and freshman Leah Cochran have split time in goal for Mercer thus far. Mursuli has played 360 minutes, made 18 saves and allowed 10 goals for a .643 save percentage and 2.50 GAA. Cochran has spent 160 minutes in goal, made nine saves and allowed two goals for a .818 save percentage and 1.12 GAA.
