MACON, GA. – The Bears competed in overtime for the third consecutive game and 11th of the season, this time falling to ETSU by the final score of 1-0.

Both teams tallied 16 shots apiece in the contest, including an 8-3 advantage in shots on goal for ETSU.

MAN OF THE MATCH
Jeremy Booth racked up seven saves tonight to run his season total to 59, surpassing last season's mark of 53. Booth's seven saves warranted man of the match honors for the Bears.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bears poured on 10 shots in the opening half, including three on target that were all turned away by Jonny Sutherland. Mercer outshot ETSU, 10-5, in the opening stanza but came away with nothing to show on the board at the intermission.

The Bucs came out firing in the second half, tallying 11 shots throughout the second 45-minute stretch. However, Booth kept ETSU off the board with five saves in the second half to set up an 11th overtime contest for Mercer.

Neither team could break through for the game-winner until the 99th minute when the Bucs scored off a fortuitous bounce. Fletcher Ekern played a ball inside the 18-yard box that took a surprising hop off the leg of Mercer defender Kareve Richards, finding the back of the net for the golden goal.
