MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's tennis team will take on No. 3 Georgia on Wednesday in Athens and ULM on Thursday in Atlanta in a pair of midweek matches for the Bears.

After falling to No. 11 Auburn in a doubleheader on Friday, Mercer rebounded to sweep both Alabama State and Savannah State in a doubleheader on Sunday. Katie Sidor leads Mercer with a 3-1 mark in singles play, while Katia Stavroulaki has tallied a 2-1 record in singles matches. In doubles play, Grace Korta and Stavroulaki are 3-2 at flight one and Anna Sovic and Sidor are 3-2 at flight two.

Georgia is 5-1 on the season, including a 2-1 mark against teams ranked in the top 10 nationally. The Bulldogs' lone loss of the season is to No. 1 Florida. No. 18 Elena Christofi is a perfect 5-0 to lead the Bulldogs and No. 34 Caroline Brinson is 4-0. Kennedy Shaffer (No. 39) and Marta Gonzalez (No. 76) are also individually ranked in the top 125.

Louisiana Monroe has won its last four matches, including sweeps of Sam Houston State and Alcorn State. The Warhawks lost to Auburn, which was ranked No. 15 at the time, in their second match of the season. Petra Horakova is a perfect 6-0 at flight four for ULM, while Tiffany Mylonas and Karolina Snita are both 5-0 on the season in singles play.
