Bears Close Out Home Stand Against Black Knights

MACON, Ga. – Mercer will be wrapping up its five-game home stand on Sunday afternoon when the Bears host Army West Point at 1 p.m.
The broadcast will be carried on the American Sports Network (ASN) and will be simulcast on ESPN3 and via the Watch ESPN app (blackout restrictions apply). ASN Coverage can be found here.

With her 38 points, Zeltwanger has earned her third spot on Mercer's single-season point leaderboard and has her just five points out of fourth place. She currently holds the top two spots on the list.

After scooping up a program-record 38 ground balls against Butler, Mercer leads the ASUN and is second nationally with 27.20 ground balls per game. The Bears' 38 ground balls also set a single-game high in the nation so far this season.

Catie Snee leads Mercer with 16 ground balls and is 10th in the league with 3.20 ground balls per game. Snee also ranks 38th nationally.

Rachel Hornick leads Army with 15 goals and 20 points, followed by Manuela Cortes and Amy Johnson with 12 and 10 goals, respectively. Erin Jollota has dished out a team-leading nine assists and added five goals for 14 points.

Johnston leads the Black Knights with 21 draw controls and is second with 11 ground balls. Madeline Leahy and Shelby Lindsay have both tallied a team-leading 10 caused turnovers and Leahy is third on the team with 10 ground balls.

Maddie Burns has spent a majority of the time in goal for the Blake Knights, making 40 saves and allowing 54 goals for a .426 save percentage and 9.35 GAA. Burns also leads the team with 22 ground balls.
