Bears Open ASUN Play At Central Michigan

MACON, Ga. – Mercer is set to open ASUN conference play on Friday at 3:30 when the Bears take on Central Michigan on the road. Mercer heads to league play after going 5-2 against non-conference opponents.

Lindsey Zeltwanger tied her career high of 7 goals and set program single-game records with 13 points and six assists against Gardner-Webb. Zeltwanger's 13 points also set a single-game high in the nation, which still stands.

Zeltwanger leads the ASUN with 45 points, 24 goals and 21 assists. Additionally, she in second in the nation with 6.43 points per game and leads the nation with 3.00 assists per game. With her 45 points, Zeltwanger has earned her third spot on Mercer's single-season point leaderboard and has her just four points out of third place. She currently holds the top two spots on the list.

Mercer is averaging 9.43 assists per game, leading the ASUN and ranking second nationally. In addition to Zeltwanger leading the nation in assists per game, she leads the ASUN and ranks seventh nationally with 21 total assists.

Meghan Segreti leads the ASUN and ranks 18th nationally with 5.29 draw controls per game. With 37 draw controls this year, she ranks third in program history on the single-season leaderboard. Segreti, who is Mercer's career leader in draw controls, is 55 draw controls away from the 200th of her career.

Aided by a program-record 38 ground balls against Butler, Mercer leads the nation with 25.00 ground balls per game. The Bears' 38 ground balls also set a single-game high in the nation so far this season.

Anna Schoonover has grabbed a team-high 23 draw controls, leading CMU in the draw circle. Logan Halvorson is second on the team with 14 draw controls and third with 18 ground balls.

Dominique Hamman and Hope Murray have split time in goal this season. Hamman has made 51 saves and allowed 55 goals for a .481 save percentage and 12.71 goals-against average. Murray has made 22 saves and allowed 31 goals for a .415 save percentage and 13.02 GAA.
