Mercer and Radford Set For Thursday Matinee

MACON, Ga. – Mercer is hosting Radford on Thursday at noon as the Bears and Highlanders meet for the first time in program history.

OUTSTANDING OFFENSE
Mercer, which has won three games by 10+ goals this season and leads the nation with 18.75 goals per game. Additionally, the Bears are averaging 28.75 points per game, which also ranks first nationally. With a scoring margin of +9.75 goals per game, the Bears are ranked third nationally and first in the ASUN.

Mercer's 37 points against Presbyterian ranks as the third most nationally in a single game this season. The Bears have scored 23 goals in two of their wins, which comes in at the fourth most in a single game this year.

LINDSEY LEADING THE WAY
Lindsey Zeltwanger tied her career high of 7 goals and set program single-game records with 13 points and six assists against Gardner-Webb. Zeltwanger's 13 points also set a single-game high in the nation, which still stands.

Zeltwanger leads the ASUN with 29 points, 14 goals and 15 assists. Additionally, she leads the nation with 7.25 points per game and 3.75 assists per game. With 29 points, Zeltwanger has earned her third spot on Mercer's single-season point leaderboard and has her just six points out of fifth place. She currently holds the top two spots on the list.

Mercer is averaging 10.00 assists per game, leading the ASUN and ranking second nationally. In addition to Zeltwanger leading the nation in assists per game, she leads the ASUN and ranks sixth nationally with 15 total assists.

Zeltwanger's 15 assists currently ranks fifth on Mercer's single-season leaderboard. She is just five assists away from third place and also holds the top two spots.

DOMINATING THE DRAW CIRCLE
The Bears have led in the draw circle in three of their four games, leading to an average of 16.00 draw controls per game. Mercer ranks fourth in the nation and first in the ASUN in draw controls.

Meghan Segreti leads the ASUN and ranks fifth nationally with 7.00 draw controls per game. With 28 draw controls this year, she ranks fourth in program history on the single-season leaderboard. Segreti, who is Mercer's career leader in draw controls, is 64 draw controls away from the 200th of her career.

GROUND BALLS APLENTY
After scooping up a program-record 38 ground balls against Butler, Mercer leads the ASUN and is second nationally with 26.75 ground balls per game. The Bears' 38 ground balls also set a single-game high in the nation so far this season.

After a career-high seven ground balls against Butler, Catie Snee is now tied with Haleigh Wurzel with 13 ground balls this year. Both players rank ninth in the league with 3.25 ground balls per game.

SCOUTING RADFORD
Radford is in its second season as a program and is already showing marked improvement from last year. The Highlanders are 3-2 on the year with wins over LIU Brooklyn, Delaware State and St. Bonaventure.

Emma Rogers leads Radford with 16 goals and 22 points, as well as tying for the team lead with eight caused turnovers. Colleen O'Connell has dished out a team-leading 10 assists to rank second on the team with 19 points.

Callie Bonnel has grabbed a team-high 17 ground balls and is third for the Highlanders with 12 draw controls. Adrian Rius, who ranks second with 12 points, leads Radford in the draw circle with 29 draw controls thus far.

Jenny Davis and Maddie Mashewske have split time in goal so far. Davis has made 24 saves and allowed 27 goals for a .471 save percentage and 11.46 goals-against average. Mashewske has made 18 saves and allowed 35 goals for a .340 save percentage and 13.24 GAA.
