Men’s Cross Country Adds Pair of International Recruits

The duo rounds out a six-man class for upcoming fall season
MACON, Ga. – Mercer has added two international recruits to its 2017 men's cross country recruiting class, as announced by head coach Ryan Bailey Thursday morning.

Nils Voigt (Muenster, Germany) and Ben Kiprotich (Kaplagat, Kenya) will join the four already-announced recruits to round out a six-man class for Bailey and the men's cross country program. Voigt and Kiprotich unite with Sean Parker, Josiah Jaqua, Austin Bailey and Fuad Batteh.

"Both Nils and Ben are very talented athletes that I'm confident can develop and get even faster during their respective careers at Mercer," Bailey said. "They will help elevate our program and I am excited to work with them. When adding this duo to the other four incoming freshmen, it is clear we have an outstanding group of young talent."
