STATESBORO, Ga. – Mercer Men's Soccer notched its second win of the season on Saturday night, downing Georgia Southern by the final score of 2-1 in Statesboro, Ga.

Mercer finished the contest with eight shots, including five on goal. Will Bagrou tallied three shots on goal with two finding the back of the net.

Will Bagrou takes the man of the match award after recording two goals in tonight's contest to bring his season total to six. Tonight marked Bagrou's first multi-goal performance of the season and sixth of his stellar career.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Will Bagrou set the bar high for Mercer in the first 32 minutes, netting two goals for the Bears in the 15th and 32nd minute for the 2-0 advantage. Bagrou's second goal was assisted by Roberto Arteaga, setting up a one-on-one with Robert Flott.

Georgia Southern trimmed the deficit in half in the 34th minute following Sebastian Gregerson's first goal of the campaign, assisted by Javier Carbonell.

The Eagles outshot Mercer in the second half, 6-2. However, Jeremy Booth slammed the door shut on Georgia Southern, collecting three saves and keeping the Eagles away from netting the equalizer.
