Women’s Tennis Heads to Statesboro for Georgia Southern Shootout

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's tennis team returns to action as they travel just down the road to compete in the Georgia Southern Shootout held at the Wallis Tennis Center this weekend, beginning Friday, Oct. 12.
There will be eight other schools joining Mercer and the host school Georgia Southern, including Savannah State, Kennesaw State, Emory, Winthrop, NC A&T, SCAD, Georgia State and Appalachian State.
The Bears are coming off a strong showing on home court as Katie Sidor and Celine Schepers each won the championship in their draws of the Mercer Gridiron Classic. Christie Cesarini also made a run, eventually falling in the finals of the Flight C consolation bracket.

The women's team will return to action when they travel to Athens, Ga., to participate in the iTA Regionals beginning on Oct. 19.
