Bears will play 54 holes at Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's golf team will remain inside Peach State borders as it travels to Kennesaw, Ga. for the Kennesaw State-hosted Pinetree Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday.

The tournament will be played at the Pinetree Country Club, starting with 36 holes on Monday. Mercer hasn't played since it tied for third at the LSU-hosted David Toms Intercollegiate on Oct. 6-7. Seven Bears will make the trip to Kennesaw, including a pair of individual golfers, Kiko Rosete and Brennan Bogdanovich.

The Bears have played in the Pinetree Intercollegiate each of the last three years; they finished tied for sixth last year as Stanton Schorr tied for 15th individually.

COACH KAYDEN'S TAKE
"The guys had a very competitive week of qualifying for a couple of the spots in this tournament's lineup," said head coach Kirk Kayden. "I look for that good play to carry over into this week's tournament.

"Most of our guys have played at Pinetree Country Club, so that'll be a big advantage for us. We will need to be solid around the greens because they are always firm and fast on this course."
