Bears Host Louisville, Seek Fourth-Straight Win

MACON, Ga. – Mercer (3-3) will look for its fourth-straight win as it hosts Louisville on Wednesday, March 14 at 4 p.m. at Five Star Stadium. The Bears are 1-1 at home as they recently dominated Presbyterian in nonconference action, 21-7, Sunday.

The game will broadcast live via SoCon Digital Network.

SERIES HISTORY
Mercer lines up against Louisville for the first time in program history. This is also the first time the Bears have faced an ACC team in program history.

NOTABLES

Mercer ranks first in the SoCon in goals per game (12.67), assists (6.00), ground balls (18.67), points (18.67), draw controls (13.17), shots per game (29.33) and caused turnovers (9.33).
Kate Leone leads the SoCon in goals averaging 3.17 per game, points per game (3.67) and shots per game (5.67). She owns 19 goals for season. She is 45th nationally in shots per game.
Lindsey Zeltwanger is tied for 23rd nationally and ranks first in the conference in assists per game (2.17). Her 13 assists rank 21st nationally. She is also tied for first in the SoCon in points per game (3.67) with Leone.
Audrey Robertson and Zeltwanger are tied for third in the SoCon for caused turnovers averaging 1.50 per game.

SCOUTING LOUISVILLE
Louisville (5-3, 0-2 ACC) has already opened conference season, falling most recently to Duke 21-12 on March 10 and to Notre Dame, 14-9. The Cardinals beat Coastal Carolina 16-7 (Feb. 24), which is also scheduled to play the Bears later on in the season (April 15).

Caroline Blalock leads the Cardinals in goals (23) and points (29), averaging a .764 shots on goal percentage. Blalock also leads the team in the circle, totaling 21 draw controls for the season, and is tied for first in groundballs (19) and caused turnovers (12). Lexie Ball defends the pipes, logging 66 saves for the season and averaging a .437 save percentage.
