MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's lacrosse team continues their road swing as they travel to Newark, Del. to take on Delaware, this Tuesday, March 6, beginning at 4 p.m.

This will be the second meeting between the two squads. Delaware won the first contest, 14-2, on April. 9, 2012, as the teams squared off in Newark.
Scouting the Blue Hens
Delaware enters the matchup holding a 3-1 overall record, most recently falling 13-12 to Villanova (3/3/18). The Blue Hens have out-scored their opponents 54-42 this season, as well as out-shooting their opposition 41 shots per game to 35.2. The Blue Hens are led in scoring by Will Hirschmann, who has netted 12 goals on the season. Charlie Kitchen leads the team in assists with seven. Jake Hervada has taken the majority of faceoffs for the Blue Hens this year, winning 40 of his 67 attempts. Delaware is led by first year head coach, Ben Deluca.

Patty deHueck will don Mercer's No. 24 jersey Tuesday in honor of John Michael Night. A different Bear will wear the No. 24 jersey each week of the 2018 season.

The Bears will continue their road swing, traveling to Emmitsburg, MD., to take on Mount St. Mary's on Saturday, March 10. The game is scheduled for 11 a.m.

- Senior midfielder Scott Baird has led the team on the offensive end this season, leading the squad with 14 points on a team-high 11 goals and assisting on three as well. Baird also leads the team in total shots (42).
- Sophomore goalkeeper Bradley Hodoval is 23rd in the nation in saves per game (10.40), with a total of 52 on the season.
- Kiel Brennan is in the top 50 in faceoff percentage in the nation, taking nearly every faceoff for the Bears this season, winning 44 of 93 (47.3%).
