Bears Head South to Face Florida A&M Wednesday

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer Bears' men's tennis team will travel to Tallahassee, Fla. for their final road contest of the season, facing Florida A&M this Wednesday, April 11. Doubles action is set to begin at 3 p.m.

Scouting the Rattlers
Florida A&M enters Wednesday's matchup holding a 4-10 overall record and a 2-1 mark in MEAC play. The Rattlers have won four of their last five contests, most recently defeating Nicholls State, 4-3, last Tuesday (4/3/18). Seven of the eight players on the Rattlers' roster are juniors, in addition to one freshman. Florida A&M's pairing of Nourelidin Adam and Federico Nani are currently riding a five match winning streak on the No. 1 doubles court. The Rattlers are led by head coach Rochelle Goldthreate.

The Bears will return home for a final home stand of the regular season, beginning by hosting Furman this Saturday, April 14 for Senior Day. Play is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center.
