Men’s Soccer Hosts Furman on Saturday

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's soccer team hosts Furman in Southern Conference action on Saturday, Oct. 26. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. from Betts Stadium. The Bears are looking at snapping a two match losing streak against the Paladins.

Mercer leads the all-time series, 7-5-3, over Furman. Last season, the Bears came away with a 2-1 victory over the Paladins on Oct. 23 in Greenville, S.C.

Furman has won its last four contests and are coming off a 1-0 victory over UNCG on Oct. 22. The Paladins have scored 30 goals this season, which leads the SoCon. They have scored seven more goals than second place UNCG, who has 23. Twelve different Paladins have scored this season and Cole McLagan, who has six goals, leads them. Dishing out the assists is Conor Sloan and Rocky Guerra, who are tied with six assists. Max Fisher leads the team in goal with 1081 minutes and has allowed 17 goals. He has a goals-against-average of 1.41. Furman has recorded four shutouts this season.
