Stair Named SoCon Player of the Month

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Ethan Stair was named the Southern Conference November Player of the Month, the conference office announced on Thursday. Stair becomes the first Bear to earn this honor since the 2015-16 season when Stephon Jelks was named December Player of the Month.

Stair is only the second player in Mercer history to earn SoCon Player of the Month honors. Over the month of November, Stair averaged 20.1 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. He was the only player in the SoCon to average a double-double.

In the month of November, Stair recorded four double-doubles, which doubled his career total entering his senior season. Stair leads the SoCon in 20 point and 10 rebound games with two.

Stair set new career-highs in scoring twice during the month of November. He opened the season with a 23-point game at St. John's setting a new career-high. Later in the month, at Georgia Southern, Stair scored 28-points and hit six three-pointers, setting two new career-highs.

The Bears return to action on Saturday, Dec. 7 when they host Georgia State at Hawkins Arena. Tipoff is set for 4:30 p.m.
